J. Matthew Symonds, MS, MBA Vice President Matt Symonds joined FPG in 2005 with responsibility for analytical work and transaction support across all sectors.  Before joining FPG, Matt worked at Adherex Technologies, a drug discovery and development company, as both Manager of Intellectual Property and as a drug development Project Manager. In this latter role, he was responsible for the development of the company’s anti-tumor agent, Exherin, from lead selection through to early clinical trials. Matt also worked at The Aurora Funds, a seed and early-stage venture fund, where he was part of the Life Science Investment team, evaluating investment opportunities and performing due diligence across all sectors of the health care industry. Matt is a graduate of McGill University, where he earned a BS in Anatomy and an MS in Experimental Surgery, as well as Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where he received an MBA with a Concentration in Health Sector Management.
